Overview
The Microsoft 365 integration connects Ademero with your entire Microsoft ecosystem, enabling seamless document management across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook. This integration provides single sign-on, real-time collaboration, and automated workflows while maintaining enterprise-grade security.
- Unified Authentication: Users sign in once with Microsoft credentials
- Seamless Collaboration: Work in Teams while accessing Ademero documents
- Native Office Editing: Edit documents without leaving Ademero
- Automated Workflows: Trigger actions based on SharePoint events
Authentication Flow
- 1User accesses Ademero and clicks “Sign in with Microsoft”
- 2Azure AD validates credentials and permissions
- 3SAML token issued with user profile and groups
- 4Ademero creates session with Microsoft permissions
Data Flow
- SharePoint: Bi-directional sync of documents and metadata

Prerequisites
Before You Begin
Microsoft 365 Business or Enterprise license
Business Basic, Standard, Premium or Enterprise E3/E5
Azure AD admin access
Global Administrator or Application Administrator role
Ademero admin privileges
Administrator access to your Ademero account
Modern authentication enabled
Legacy authentication should be disabled for security
Step-by-Step Integration Guide

1.1 Access Azure Portal

Navigate to the Azure Portal

Sign in with your administrator account
You need Global Administrator or Application Administrator role

Navigate to Azure Active Directory → Enterprise applications

1.2 Create New Application

Click “New application” button

Select “Create your own application”

Enter application details:
Name:Ademero Document ManagementType:Integrate any other application (Non-gallery) - 7
Click “Create” and wait for the application to be created
1.3 Configure Application Properties

In the application overview, note down these values:
Save these values - you'll need them later!
- • Application (client) ID
- • Directory (tenant) ID
- • Object ID

Upload Ademero logo (optional but recommended)

Troubleshooting
If users cannot log in with Microsoft credentials:
- •Verify SAML configuration URLs match exactly
- •Check user is assigned to the application in Azure AD
- •Ensure federation metadata is up to date
- •Review Azure AD sign-in logs for errors
If documents aren't syncing properly:
- •Check API permissions include Files.ReadWrite.All
- •Verify admin consent was granted
- •Test with a different SharePoint site
- •Check sync logs in Ademero admin panel
If the Ademero tab shows errors in Teams:
- •Ensure app package was uploaded correctly
- •Check Teams admin center for app policies
- •Clear Teams cache and restart
- •Verify user has Ademero access
